Manitoba Transit Heritage Association

The Manitoba Transit Heritage Association (MTHA) is a historical museum under the Corporations Act of Manitoba and a registered tax charitable organization under the Income Tax Act (Canada). Registered Charitable Business Number: 88775 1659 RR0001

Governance.

- Membership in the MTHA costs $30 per year for individuals and $1,000 per year for corporations - and is

open to all. All members have one vote, with corporations having one person designated to vote.

- The MTHA is governed by a Board of Directors, elected by the membership at the Annual General Meeting.

- The Executive and Committees of the Board oversee the volunteer members that undertake many of the

day-to-day operations of the MTHA.

- The Association abides by its By-Laws. A copy of By-Law No. 1 is available by clicking here.

The Manitoba Transit Heritage Association was established on July 21, 1989 by a group of dedicated Winnipeg Transit employees and retirees interested in collecting and preserving records, memorabilia and vehicles related to the City of Winnipeg's public transit service.
