The Manitoba Transit Heritage Association (MTHA) invites you to read its privacy policy and code of conduct to understand about the rules it applies to the protection of personal information and governance of members.

This site does not place any permanent cookies on visitors’ computers, but only temporary cookies needed to improve the performance of certain site features.


We Use an Analytic Services


HostPapa and Google Analytics technology on our site collects data from the website and browsers to better understand the customer journey. It includes privacy settings such as taking metrics and may deposit an erasable cookie(s) on your device.


How We Protect the Information You Provide


The MTHA is committed to protecting the privacy of the information you entrust to us.


If you voluntarily submit personal information by e-mail, written letter, or in-person, we use only the information required to enable MTHA staff to respond to your message or inquiry, and fulfil product purchases and/or membership services. Electronic correspondence is treated with the same confidentiality as written materials.


We will never share, sell or rent personal information without your advance permission or unless ordered by a court of law.


Visitors to our website under 18 years of age need to obtain the permission of a parent or guardian before providing us with any information.


We do not retain any banking information you may provide.


We operate online internationally, but our computer systems are based in Canada, so your information will be processed in Canada and is subject to Canadian laws.


External Links


The MTHA.ca website provides links to other sites. Information exchanged on these sites is not subject to this privacy policy, but to the privacy policy of the external site.


Online Payments


The MTHA Store uses PayPal Canada as our payment processor. PayPal is a global leader in digital commerce, connecting consumers and merchants world-wide. PayPal Canada's headquarters are located at 661 University Ave, Toronto, ON M5G 1M1, Canada. PayPal data centres are located in Arizona and California and governed by US law.


When the MTHA processes your credit card payment, our website will “hand you over” to the PayPal servers. All data and information you supply is handled and held by PayPal. After successful payment we receive confirmation and personal information which is used to fulfil membership services or shipping of product to the purchaser.


The Government of Canada’s Financial Consumer Agency of Canada is responsible for protecting the rights and interests of consumers of financial products and services.


We can accept most credit cards, either online or in-person at any events we are attending.


CODE OF CONDUCT


Age Limitations


Visitors to our website or in-person special event activities who are under 18 years of age need to obtain the permission of a parent or guardian before participating or providing us with any information. Persons between the ages of 13 and 16 must be accompanied by a supervising parent who must be a member of the MTHA.


Conduct and Standards


The Manitoba Transit Heritage Association recognizes and respects its relationship with members, coporate sponsors, community partners and transportation enthusiasts. All members are expected to comply to all laws and regulations governing the organization, and adhere to conduct that is based on accepted societal standards of professional integrity, personal accountability, respect of diversity and privacy, and maintenance of respectful and integral relations between co-volunteers, members, corporate members, community partners, transportation entusiasts and the general public.


Remedies


Any contravention of the policy or code will be addressed by the Board of Directors Executive. The Executive will investigate and deal directly with person or persons involved in the contravention, and will report to Board of Directors in-camera for approval on their final decision regarding the status of the person or persons involved. The Board of Directors shall not be required to publish the details of the final decision or any materials used to support its decision to protect privacy. Such decision is final.
