1938

Owned by T. H. Doxey, Lake View Bus operated a fleet of five buses in local transit service. The buses ran between the residential areas and the mining and smelting employment centres.

1949

Northern Bus Lines Limited, owned by Howard Doxey and partners, began operating bus service for the Hudson Bay Mining & Smelting Company under contract.

1952

The local transit service operation was assumed by Northern Bus Lines and was commonly referred to as Doxey's Bus Service.

1955

A new contractor signed a five year contract to operate local transit service. However, Gardewine and Sons Limited ended the contract early in June 1957.

1957

Local transit sevice resumed under contract with Northern Bus Lines Limited, which also operated school buses and intercity motor coaches for charter.

1959

Flin Flon Bus Company owners John Ross and Russel Cassan took over the contract for the local transit service operating the service until 1972.

1972

Northern Bus Lines once again became the contract operator for the City of Flin Flon, Manitoba and for the Town of Creighton, Saskatchewan. Northern operated two buses on two routes. Route 1 circled Flin Flon while Route 2 operated between Flin Flon and Creighton.

2011

The route to Creighton, Saskatchewan was cancelled on December 31, 2011.

2019

The City of Flin Flon, with shared funding from the Province of Manitoba, purchased a brand new low-floor accessible "cut-away" style bus - a Ford E-450 with Turtle Top Odysey Bus Body.

Northern Bus Lines ceased operations, including the local transit service contract.

2022

Local transit service has resumed with Stelezki Mechanical Services Limited assuming the contract for Flin Flon using the single Ford bus. The rebuilt Thomas school bus is the spare unit.

2024

The City of Flin Flon, Manitoba and the Town of Creighton, Saskatchewan reached an agreement to extend public transit service. Starting on September 9, 2024 the City of Flin Flon buses make three scheduled trips across the provincial boundary and observe four stops in Creighton.

2026

The City of Flin Flon received $2.2 million from the Federal Government's Rural Transit Solutions Fund to buy a new 20-seat accessible cutaway bus, new shelters and add sidewalks to make bus stops accessible.
